I decided to try a short, easy run today. Just 5k at 6.0 mph, nothing fancy. Then maybe some yoga later in the day to loosen things up.
Things didn’t work out that way. I live on top of a hill and the town never plows the snow in the morning in my neighbor. But I assumed the roads would be clear.
I was wrong.
I made it to the gym, mostly because I couldn’t find a safe place to turn around. Did 45 minutes of cardio and figured the roads would be plowed by the time I left.
I was wrong.
I ended up going to yoga because it’s across the street from my parent’s office (which is, in theory, two minutes away from the gym but it took ten minutes to drive there) and I could hang out there until the streets were cleared.
Yoga was a lot harder than yesterday. The combination of core work, inner hip stretches, being tired from running, and being sore from yesterday makes me a happy camper. I did manage to mess up my lower back somehow, so now I’m back in my ass grove on the couch with the heating pad. Hooray!
